How the Strangers' Dinner Series work? It's not for dating- But rather it is all about making new friends.

It hasn't been a common phenomenon in many African societies to dine with complete strangers- people you didn't know about and never met before and to some it has been deemed as something not impossible but something hard to come by.

The why?

In the recent past, this has been a growing custom or culture, enhanced with the advent of social media platforms,that it has been easier than never before to make new friends online. - you will agree 👍 with on that

However, the real question has been whether or not these friendships 🤔 We make online are true and genuine to the point that they can improve and nourish our personal relationships in a long run.

Because I enjoy new experiences, i have always wanted to jam to in-person events that aim to facilitate more natural, in-person connections.

Andabye Originals is a in-house brand in partnership with multiple leisure outlets in particular restaurants around the country to champion the causes of the Strangers Dinner Series.

Every Wednesday night, the app (andabye.com) organizes group dinners for sets of six algorithm-paired strangers at a mystery restaurant in your city, kind-of a blind dinner date for meeting new friends.

While we do not bill ourselves as a dating app, we are a great way to stumble upon your next crush. (Sounds funny 😁, not so).

It's a phenomenal way to meet people while you are off your busy day schedule, who you may be able to hang out.

The how 🤔

The way the it works is simple: As you secure your tickets, You start by filling out a survey about your hobbies, interests, and what you look for when you dine out with friends. As you secure your ticket, The app asks how much you're willing to pay for a good meal, what your dietary restrictions are, where you're from, and what you do for a living.

While there too, You can also choose to sign up for a subscription, which grants you access to every dinner for a set monthly fee, or you can buy tickets one at a time,

The cost of the dinner isn't included-you'll have to do some good, old-fashioned bill-spliting with the rest of your table. However every dinner table comes with a big-sized Pizza and a few smoothies for every one.

The app comes with a built-in list of questions to keep conversations going, and, at the end of the evening, andabye hosts drinks event so diners can mingle with other groups.

While i generally find it comfortable to talk to strangers, it's not always easy to turn those conversations into real friendships. but more than that it takes an openness and willingness from both parties to pursue a relationship that requires effort.

So, it appeals to meet people at an event where the whole aim is to expand your circle of friends.
